Allison Burris is a poet in the California Bay area. She earned her masters in Library and Information Science in 2021 from San Jose State University with a specialty in archival studies. She is passionate about all things involving books and organization as well as preserving and engaging with women’s history and material/cultural history.
Her poetry is whimsical and she hopes to inspire a sense of wonder and re-enchantment in readers – a refuge rather than an escape. She regularly leads workshops/prompt nights with her online writing group, and is a founding member of the Chapbook Collective.
If she’s not writing, you can find her reading, baking, playing board games, or picking up one too many creative projects.
